Joy will help build on the foundation of programs, partnerships, and strategic priorities across diversity, equity and inclusion; and strengthen the equity of the workforce, so that everyone feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. She will also serve as a partner and strategic advisor to the company's Culture, Inclusion and Diversity Councils, ensuring that best practices in every facet of the business advance equity inside and outside the company.
Joy is a highly respected and experienced human capital leader with more than 20 years of experience. Some of her career accolades include:
- Building best-in-class strategies that enable for-profit and non-profit organizations to foster stronger, more diverse and inclusive cultures
- Sought-after speaker and thought leader, who has presented keynote speeches and workshops in more than 20 countries

Joy comes to UnitedHealth Group from Eli Lilly, where she most recently served as Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer.
