Digitalizing Public Sector Revenue Generation in Nigeria: How Pay1One is Leading the Charge

By: Get News

Avancee Pinnacle, a Nigeria-based revenue assurance and technology company, has developed a digital solution, Pay1One, that is presently creating an effective public health system.

According to Mr Tolu Oluyemi, the founder of Avancee Pinnacle, Pay1One was created to put an end to challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, a lack of medical professionals, inadequate funding, and a lack of universal health coverage in the sector

The tech leader, who believes that revenue leakages remain a huge challenge faced by the sector, stated that the tech solution is making more revenue available to public health facilities.

Tolu Oluyemi said, "We created the Pay1One revenue assurance platform for the public health sector to restore public health facilities’ dignity, which has suffered neglect and decay.

The revenue collection systems of these facilities, from primary to tertiary, have been plagued by inconsistency, corruption, ineffectiveness and leakage. Patients and health institutions suffer as a result of this, as they do not get the best from the system."

With Pay1One, hospitals and health facilities can effectively track revenue inflow and outflow, collect data, make informed decisions, eradicate leakages, reduce the cost of revenue collection, and maximize internally generated revenue.

"Patients and hospitals can make and receive payments with or without an internet connection, which is massive for health facilities where the internet has low penetration or is nonexistent, including incessant power cuts," Oluyemi said.

Pay1One, with its ease of accessibility, leverage features such as cameras, biometrics, and network to meet specific terrain.

"Once you come back the second time to make payment, the system instantly recognizes you either via your biometrics or picture and will populate your details irrespective of the hospital you had made the initial payment ensuring no important health data is lost. Patients can also make payments right from their phones making healthcare services more accessible," Oluyemi explained.

Oluyemi added that his startup will employ its infrastructure and presence in rural communities to provide automated payments, thereby enhancing financial inclusion in underserved areas of the country.

"We want to ensure that every single person can access financial services no matter how isolated they may be," he said.

In a bid to recreate its exploits in the public health sector, Avancee Pinnacle is working to deplore Pay1One in public and private institutions and establishments for revenue assurance successes. The company is fully focused on scaling its platform spread and is poised for collaborations with other tech companies.

Oluyemi concluded by saying, "The Nigerian healthcare sector has defied solutions for years, but Avancee Pinnacle’s Pay1One solution is making public healthcare accessible on a tech solution and one public sector per time, providing a much-needed solution to a long-standing problem."
