Tempe-based First Solar adds Canadian business exec to board

Tempe-based First Solar Inc. (Nasdaq: FLSR) has expanded its board of directors by one member to 12 and has appointed a global investment veteran to the new board seat. The appointment comes a few months after First Solar shareholders voted in favor of a proposal requesting a report on steps being taken by the company to enhance board diversity.
