In December 2021, Pingora discovered that cybercriminals had infiltrated Pingora's network and gained unauthorized access to its file servers. Following a forensic investigation, Pingora determined that from October 27, 2021 to December 7, 2021, cybercriminals successfully accessed confidential files containing the personal information of Pingora's customers. According to Pingora and its cybersecurity experts, the personal information accessed in the data breach included:

- Addresses
- Loan information
