Vanguard (VVSG) Opens the Market

Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - September 12, 2024) - Salim Ramji, CEO of Vanguard, Chris McIsaac, Managing Director of Vanguard International, Kathy Bock, Managing Director, Vanguard Investments Canada, and Vanguard team members from across the globe joined Graham MacKenzie, Managing Director, Exchange Traded Products, Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) to open the market and celebrate the launch of the Vanguard Canadian Ultra-Short Government Bond Index ETF (TSX: VVSG).

VVSG seeks to replicate the Bloomberg Canadian Short Treasury 1-12M Float Adjusted Index, gaining exposure to the highest quality Canadian Federal government securities with maturities of less than one year. VVSG provides investors and advisors with a low-cost, high quality fixed income portfolio to manage ultra-short-term liquidity needs. Canadians own CAD $110 billion in Vanguard assets, including Canadian and U.S.-domiciled ETFs and Canadian mutual funds.
