KOMANA Brewing Company announces the launch of their Free Japanese Language Club. Local language enthusiasts can dive into the Japanese language and culture while enjoying quality craft beer and kombucha. Classes began in late March 2024. They are held on Tuesday evenings in the taproom of their brewery in Cary.
The club is open to all and free to join. It offers opportunities to connect with fellow learners, share cultural insights, and enhance language skills while enjoying the finest brews and kombucha in the Triangle area.

The Brewery's Japanese Language Immersion Club allows participants to embark on a linguistic adventure every Tuesday at 7 pm in the taproom of the KOMANA Brewing Company. Informally led by members of the group, they will dive deep into conversational Japanese. They will use the "Japanese From Zero" Book for training material, which is available from Amazon. It covers everything from basic greetings to Kanji characters.
Additionally, a private Facebook Group will be created for group communication.
Adds Tunnissen, "Even if you miss a less or two, you will be able to catch up. Updated information is provided in the Facebook group for participants. You will be paired with others at your same level of progress. Plus, my mother will be there on occasion to help everyone pronounce the words and use them correctly."
Field trips to Japanese-owned restaurants and businesses will also be offered for practical application of language skills.
