The Puerto Rico Financial Services Forum Returns: Pioneering Trends in International Banking and Insurance Centers

The Puerto Rico Financial Services Forum (FSF), the most comprehensive international financial and insurance conference in Puerto Rico, celebrates its fourth edition on October 21 and 22, 2024 in San Juan. Local and international experts in the international banking and insurance industries will converge, addressing the most current topics on compliance, financial crimes, regulations, and opportunities, presenting Puerto Rico as a premiere center for international banks and insurers. The latest topics on industry updates and trends will be included: Sustainable Insurance, Artificial Intelligence, Fintech, Cybersecurity, Anti-Money Laundering, latest developments from FinCEN, New Regulations Regarding Cryptocurrency, Captive Insurance, and Success Stories in international banking and insurance, among others.

This event, hosted by the Puerto Rico International Banking Association (PRIBA) and the Puerto Rico International Insurance Association (PRIIA), expects will showcase over 40 experts, including Stephen Muldrow, U.S. Attorney District of Puerto Rico; Natalia I. Zequeira, Esq, Commissioner of Financial Institutions; Manuel Cidre, Secretary of the Puerto Rico Department of Economic Development and Commerce; and Ella Woger, Chief Executive Officer of Invest PR, FBI agents, representatives for U.S. agencies such as the Federal Reserve Board, international insurance and banks , among others.

Puerto Rico has become fertile ground for the establishment of international banks and insurers, providing more advantages when compared to other well-known destinations. Being under the US financial and legal framework, the island provides a stable business environment, a bilingual population, and the necessary infrastructure for business.
