The Federal Communications Commission has appointed Skyler Ditchfield to its Technological Advisory Council.
On February 26, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) appointed Skyler Ditchfield, Co-Founder and CEO of GeoLinks, to serve on the Technological Advisory Council (TAC). Organized under the authority of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, the TAC provides technical advice to the FCC, identifies important areas of innovation, and develops informed technology policies supporting America’s competitiveness and job creation in the global economy.
With past appointments to the FCC’s Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee, Ditchfield’s new role is anticipated to influence positive advancements within telecommunications. In a letter granting this appointment, FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel stated that “the FCC must remain informed of new developments in technology to continue to effectively fulfill its mission,” noting Skyler’s considerable experience and explaining that his participation “will enable the FCC to keep abreast of important developments in the telecommunications industry.”
“I am honored to serve alongside an esteemed lineup of industry leaders,” said Ditchfield. “One of GeoLinks’ founding missions is to close the digital divide. I look forward to addressing the technical challenges and opportunities that lie ahead to make this a reality.”
As CEO of one of the fastest-growing companies in the United States, Ditchfield brings invaluable knowledge and experience to the TAC. Under his leadership, GeoLinks is making significant strides in enhancing digital equity, further evidenced by the Company's substantial awards in the FCC’s Connect America Fund Phase II Auction (CAF II) and Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF).
