ShiftKey announces new board members, including Luis Borgen, James Everingham, Bob Jordan and William “Bill” Sanger

ShiftKey, a leading technology company transforming the future of work, today announced four new board members: Luis Borgen, former chief financial officer, athenahealth; James Everingham, co-founder and senior vice president of engineering, Lightspark; Bob Jordan, president & CEO, Southwest Airlines; and William “Bill” Sanger, managing partner, Sanger Holdings.

Founded in 2016, ShiftKey’s platform is driving ‘empowered work’ for independent licensed professionals and facilities, with hundreds of thousands of professionals connecting to more than 10,000 healthcare facilities on the platform. Luis Borgen brings more than 20 years of experience as a senior finance executive and has served as a chief financial officer for venture capital, private equity-backed, and public companies in the technology, healthcare, and consumer sectors. Throughout his career, he has worked for organizations including Staples, DaVita and athenahealth, and has raised over $25 billion in capital across domestic equity and global debt markets. Borgen has extensive experience in strategic planning, operational, finance, international expansion, M&A, IPO readiness and investor relations.

James Everingham is a technology pioneer with more than four decades of high-level experience and expertise in technology. Everingham is co-founder and SVP of Engineering at Lightspark, a company building core payments infrastructure on the Lightning Network. During his illustrious career as a technology leader, entrepreneur, and developer, Everingham has led world-class engineering teams, and always been at the forefront of transformative innovation – from initiating Instagram stories to building the first browser team at Netscape. He has held significant leadership roles as Vice President of Engineering of Novi/Payments at Facebook, Head of Engineering at Instagram, Vice President of Engineering at Yahoo, CEO and founder at Luminate, Inc., CTO and co-founder at LiveOps, Director of Browser Development at Netscape, and more.

Bob Jordan serves as President & CEO at Southwest Airlines, with deep experience in driving scalable technology, leading transformative integrations and building strong teams with nationally recognized customer service. Jordan is a 35-year Southwest veteran and began his career as a programmer in Technology. He has held 15 different positions at Southwest, including leadership roles in the areas of Finance, Planning, Procurement, Fuel, Facilities, Technology, Corporate Strategy, and as Chief Commercial Officer. Jordan also served as the President of AirTran Airways during the successful integration. Most recently, he served as Southwest Airlines' Executive Vice President Corporate Services, providing Executive Leadership for Southwest's world-renowned People and Culture, training at Southwest Airlines University, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion efforts, and Communications & Outreach Teams.

William “Bill” Sanger is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and executive. He is the co-founder and Managing Partner of BIDON Companies, a diversified Healthcare Enterprise. He is the Managing Partner of Sanger Holdings, a portfolio company with assets in several industries including Healthcare, Entertainment, Automotive, Technology, For-Profit Education, and Real Estate. He is also the proprietor of the Sanger Family of Wines and the Sanger Olive Oil Company. Formerly, Sanger served as CEO of Cancer Treatment Centers of America, JFK Health System, and Chairman and CEO of Envision Healthcare, a Fortune 500 company which sold in 2018 to a PE firm in excess of $10 billion. He has successfully taken four companies public.
