This year’s HPE Discover highlights the products, solutions and strategies that are central to the data-first modernization of businesses. From mobile to data center to enterprise, innovative, high-performance SSDs from KIOXIA are leading the way forward. KIOXIA has been collaborating with HPE to create best in class solutions for years, helping customers turn ideas into innovation.

KIOXIA flash storage solutions – such as SSDs designed with PCIe 5.0® technology and the industry’s first1 lineup of Enterprise and Datacenter Standard Form Factor (EDSFF) E3.S SSDs accelerate customer application performance, reduce TCO while improving sustainability and enable higher-performance and densities. According to Neville Ichhaporia, senior vice president and general manager, SSD Business Unit, for KIOXIA America, Inc., these attributes are critical to the modernization of data centers and the adoption of a more ‘data first’ approach.

“As a leader in flash storage and SSD solutions, KIOXIA is ideally suited to collaborate with HPE on their mission to unlock trapped legacy data, then process, analyze and capture its value - from the edge all the way to the cloud,” said Ichhaporia.

Product and technology demonstrations will be given in the KIOXIA booth #312 on the show floor at the Venetian® Conference and Expo Center in Las Vegas from June 20 – 22.

Demonstrations include:

  • KIOXIA CD7 Series EDSFF E3.S Data Center SSDs running real-world applications on HPE AlletraTM 4110 Gen 11.
  • KIOXIA PM7 Series 24G SAS SSDs running DL380 Apache SparkTM analytics cluster.
  • KIOXIA CM6 Series PCIe 4.0 NVMeTM SSDs running VMware vSANTM workloads on HPE Alletra storage arrays.

The full breadth of KIOXIA solutions for HPE can also be found on the KIOXIA HPE microsite: KIOXIA HPE Microsite.

KIOXIA will participate in several speaking sessions and panel discussions that focus on its new products and its longstanding collaboration with HPE, including:

1: As of October 25, 2021, based on industry survey of publicly available information

Definition of capacity: KIOXIA Corporation defines a megabyte (MB) as 1,000,000 bytes, a gigabyte (GB) as 1,000,000,000 bytes and a terabyte (TB) as 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. A computer operating system, however, reports storage capacity using powers of 2 for the definition of 1Gb = 2^30 bits = 1,073,741,824 bits, 1GB = 2^30 bytes = 1,073,741,824 bytes and 1TB = 2^40 bytes = 1,099,511,627,776 bytes and therefore shows less storage capacity. Available storage capacity (including examples of various media files) will vary based on file size, formatting, settings, software and operating system, and/or pre-installed software applications, or media content.
