Delivering Good Names Matthew J. Fasciano as President & CEO

Delivering Good, a national 501(c)(3) organization that supports people affected by poverty and tragedy through the distribution of new merchandise donated by retailers and manufacturers, is pleased to announce the hiring of Matthew J. Fasciano, LMSW, JD, as its new President & CEO. Matthew will take over from Gary F. Simmons, former Delivering Good Board Member, who has acted as Interim CEO during the search process.

“We are very excited to have Matthew join Delivering Good at such a meaningful time for the organization,” said Board Chair, Andrea Weiss. “Coming out of the pandemic and facing a world with increased need driven by economic stressors, natural disasters, and international conflict, Matthew’s operational and programmatic expertise will be critical to ensuring we can continue to meet the growing need for our services amidst ongoing supply chain issues that have impacted the retail and manufacturing industries that are crucial to our impact.”

Matthew comes to Delivering Good with a long history in social and juvenile justice, most recently serving as the Chief Operating Officer for fifteen years at The Posse Foundation, where he provided vision, thought leadership, and programmatic oversight for a national college success and youth leadership development nonprofit. During his tenure, he opened five physical chapters and launched a virtual model in ten cities across the US and Puerto Rico, and established partnerships with college and university leaders that helped attain a 90% graduation rate for participating students. His prior experience includes tenure at the Queens County District Attorney’s Office and five years with the New York City Department of Juvenile Justice, two as the Deputy General Counsel and previously as the Director of Operations, overseeing a 124-bed secure detention center for juvenile offenders.

“I’m excited to take the next step in my career with Delivering Good,” said Matthew. “The organization has an amazing 37-year history of connecting excess, new merchandise with people in need. As part of that work, they are also helping companies reduce their environmental impact and meet their larger CSR goals. It’s an incredible opportunity to work with their board and staff to build on the successes of the past and grow the organization to expand the impact we can have on communities in need across the US and beyond.”

Matthew, who is based in New York City, will work closely with the Interim CEO and Board of Directors Leadership as he takes on the role of President and CEO beginning July 5, 2022.
