The Kopa platform brings healthcare professionals together with Happify Health’s digital support services in a single, secure, online community where people can learn, share, and support each other in an equitable environment.

Happify Health launched the first Kopa community in July 2020 to support people with psoriasis. This expansion of Kopa supports perimenopausal, menopausal, and post-menopausal women.

More than 4,000 women enter menopause every day in the United States, but only one-in-five OB/GYN residency programs provide menopause training to support them, according to AARP. All-in, eighty-four percent of women experience menopause symptoms, and more than one-in-ten (12%) say their symptoms can be severe or debilitating, according to the same AARP survey. The Kopa for Women & Midlife care community focuses on meeting the unmet needs of these women by weaving together chronic condition management tools with medical and mental health support to provide individuals with a holistic care delivery platform.

“Our vision for Kopa’s care delivery platform is to weave together chronic condition management tools with medical and mental health support and deliver personalized, holistic, digital care,” said Keren Zimmerman, Chief Product Officer at Happify Health. “This expansion of Kopa is an important step in Happify Health’s evolution as we work to expand our suite of products to leverage our artificial intelligence and digital therapeutics to capture non-episodic health data, and deliver personalized, digital care that improves health outcomes.”

“The mind and body are a single connected system and they need to be cared for in a connected way,” said Murray Zucker, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Happify Health. “Women experience so many mental and physical health transitions during menopause, that it made Women & Midlife the next logical evolution of the Kopa platform.”

The Women & Midlife community within the Kopa platform will be supported by menopause-trained OB/GYNs, mental health experts, ophthalmologists, endocrinologists, dietitians, and other health care professionals. The Women & Midlife care journey gives women an opportunity to discuss the physical and emotional life changes they’re experiencing with medical experts—and develop meaningful connections with others in the same phase of life.

The content and community in Kopa for Women & Midlife is purpose-built to support women with multiple health concerns and symptoms associated with menopause, including bone health, cardiovascular issues, mental health, insomnia, dry eye, migraines, and more.

Kopa is a patient-centric, care delivery community dedicated to helping people with chronic conditions manage their physical and mental health while providing guidance and support when they need it most. Kopa embraces a holistic health approach and was designed to allow people to follow multiple communities based on their individual health conditions and to maximize their personalized experience on the care delivery platform.
