Consolidated Communications Bringing New Fiber Internet to Keene, New Hampshire

New competitively priced fiber broadband services available to 9,000 residents starting in June; total of 16,000 by the end of 2021

Consolidated Communications (NASDAQ: CNSL), a top-10 fiber provider, is bringing symmetrical, gigabit, fiber internet services to residents and businesses in the Keene, N.H. area, starting in June.

Work is well underway on the new fiber-to-the-premises network that will deliver reliable, high-speed broadband to 9,000 residents this summer, and 16,000 residents by the end of 2021. The new network will meet the region’s critical need for faster internet service and will deliver download speeds nearly 10 times faster and upload speeds nearly 100 times faster than what is currently available.

“Keene will soon have some of the fastest internet speeds in the country,” said Erik Garr, president of consumer and small business services at Consolidated Communications. “We know the significant benefits of reliable, high-speed internet as an economic driver for a community and are thrilled to provide these crucial connections for residents and businesses in the Keene area.”

Fiber internet handles more devices and more data with consistently higher speeds, lower latency and superior reliability. Consolidated’s always on, dedicated connection enables customers to realize full bandwidth, no throttling even during peak hours, and no data caps. Customers can easily learn and work from home, send and receive files, video chat, stream television and movies, online game, and make use of smart home technology.

Keene area residents can visit consolidated.com/Keene or call 1-888-598-1785 to learn more about Consolidated’s new fiber internet and pre-register for service. Business owners can visit consolidated.com/fiberbiz to learn more about fiber at work. A variety of plans offer highly competitive options for a range of needs, with 1-gig symmetrical service available for $70 per month, including equipment and installation costs. All residential plans include a one-year price lock, with no contract required.

In addition to Keene, Consolidated’s new gigabit internet service is already available in the New Hampshire communities of Chesterfield, Danbury, Dublin, Harrisville, Mason, Rindge, Springfield, Walpole and Westmoreland, with new fiber network construction underway in Kingston, Pelham, Raymond, Salem and Seabrook.

The new fiber-to-the-premises network in Keene is part of Consolidated’s plans to upgrade more than 70% of its service footprint to symmetrical, multi-Gig speeds over the next five years. Fiber network builds are also underway in California, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Texas and Vermont. More information is available at consolidated.com/FiberLife.
