Events will be at iconic venues such as ESPN Wide World of Sports, Harvard Stadium, and the Hall of Fame Village in Canton, Ohio
ORLANDO, FL / ACCESSWIRE / November 25, 2024 / The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) announces the first qualifying events in flag football and 7-on-7 football for the 2025 AAU Junior Olympic Games. These events offer the opportunities to qualify for the 59th AAU Junior Olympic Games, the first Games to feature Flag Football and 7-on-7 Football in the event's history. Events will be supported and operated by the new AAU club, Super Hero Sports.
"We are excited Flag Football and 7-on-7 Football make their debut at the 2025 AAU Junior Olympic Games," said Jo Mirza, AAU President. "These events will take place at world-class venues and will provide athletes, coaches and teams a unique event experience they can not get elsewhere."
The action kicks off with the Youth Flag Football World Championships at ESPN Wide World of Sports on February 28th, 2025. The top four (4) teams from each age division will advance to the 59th AAU Junior Olympic Games in Houston, Texas occurring July 23 through August 2, 2025.

Additional qualifying events will be held across the United States throughout the spring and summer. One international stop, the Pan-American Flag Football International Tournament, will be hosted in the Dominican Republic. All these events will count as qualifiers for the 59th AAU Junior Olympic Games.
