MIAMI - September 7, 2022 - (Newswire.com)

Intraway is participating with a number of other industry leaders in an exciting Catalyst for the TM Forum Digital Transformation World Conference in Copenhagen this Sept. 20-22.

Business, service and network operations have become increasingly complex as services become more heterogeneous, dynamic and distributed. With that, there is a broadening to include multiple domains using multiple partners' solutions. Further, 5G promises new revenue streams for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) and more differentiated services that better meet customers' specific needs, but they will also add complexity. This complexity is outstripping existing CSPs' ability to manage, control and assure customer experience, service operations, cost and network performance using today's tools and approaches.

"The solution to the increased complexity of 5G network service provisioning is through the realization of autonomous networks. In an autonomous network, the customer experience is improved by capturing customer needs and translating them into intent without revealing implementation details. Autonomous systems are governed according to specified objectives - known as intents, which are standardized by using an open interface," said Kevin McDonnell of Huawei, the key architect of the Catalyst.

"Intraway's participation in this Catalyst demonstrates that we are serious about pushing the boundaries of the state-of-the-art in Autonomous Networks and the tools to execute, based on TM Forum standards," said Mark Abolafia, SVP, Business Development and Global Channels at Intraway. "This technology will help CSPs manage the complexity of 5G rollouts and improve usability and service levels to their customers."

Why consider Intent-driven approaches for the "Spot Price" use case of the Catalyst?

  • Allows the use of idle capacity that operators present in hours of low use of their networks, transforming idle capacity into usable capacity based on Intents
  • Enables the participation of resellers (Brokers), where the same service can be offered at the best price, based on Intents and selecting the best relation offer/price between Network Operator's offerings
  • Allows the end users to propose the price they want/can pay for the service
  • Enhances multi-vendor integration, as it is based on API standards
