Music literally saved an up and coming artist’s life

The passionate tale of AR Smith, the hidden gem of Bay areas, about how he didn’t choose music but music chose him.

Ar Smith is an unsigned Spotify artist. Alongside singing, his field of work comprises rapping/songwriting & modeling. Having roots in a family where music was not accepted much, he carved his way to the top with sheer dedication and relentless effort. The formidable journey started from Ar Smith’s ambition of becoming the 'poster boy’ spirited artist. Smith risked his life at 15 by shifting onto the streets because his father, who was a pastor, wasn’t convinced of his pursual of rapping.

Eventually, he had to make his way home by submitting to his father. Upon reaching 20, good times bell his door in the form of an E-mail invited to perform at San Jose. Things took a turn for the worst, and in some inevitable circumstances, being left with no choice, Smith had to rob a liquor shop to collect funds to reach his performance venue. This penalized him in jail for six years. An artist doesn’t break but makes art out of his dilemma, and so does Smith. He wrote 200 songs during his incarcerated tenure. His creation is the testimony of his cathartic journey. To listen to Ar Smith’s beautiful fire collection, visit Vokal Music Group

The New Music Vokal Music Group, the artist Ar Smith, had a tough time mingling with the new ways the music industry functioned after he got out of prison. Navigating through hardships and heartbreaks of divorce, deaths, and other downturns, he is still ready to give his all to his passion for music.

“I am determined to die trying if that’s what it takes. Some people believe that they chose music, but I believe that music chose me,” said the Vokal Music Group artist.

Having dealt with the worst of times, Smith is still coming to terms with society during his post-prison period and is relentlessly pursuing his definition of the American dream.

Being uniquely positioned, though, his style is similar to artists such as G-Herbo, Moneybag Yo, Nipsey Hussle, Meek Mill, Symba, and Drakeo, The Ruler.
