Today we announced that we have entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Medtronic, Inc., bringing two world class companies together. The proposed transaction will significantly advance the combined companys position as the worlds premier medical technology and services company with revenues of more than $27 billion.
This is a pivotal moment in our history and it is very important that our employees feel well-informed and supported by us. Your role as a leader is critical to carry the message forward in your organization. Following the distribution of todays all-employee e-mail communication, we are expecting you to hold staff meetings with your leadership teams and then, if applicable, host l town hall meetings to communicate to your larger team. Our goal is for every employee to have heard directly from a leader in the next two days.
