Ansell Limited Announces Board Changes

Ansell Limited today announced that Herb Elliott, a Director since 2001, has decided not to stand for re-election at the Company’s Annual General Meeting on 18 October 2006, and will retire from the Board at the conclusion of that meeting.

Ansell also announced that Marissa Peterson, a US resident and former Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations for Sun Microsystems Inc., was appointed as a Director with effect from 22 August 2006.

In announcing the changes Ansell’s Chairman, Peter Barnes, said “Herb Elliott joined the Board at a time when the Company was in transition to becoming a stand-alone entity and global leader in barrier protection in the Occupational, Professional and Consumer healthcare sectors. Herb has been a wonderful contributor and provided wise counsel to the Board and its Committees during this period. His Board colleagues and the Ansell management team thank him and wish him well for the future”.

Mr Barnes also said “Marissa Peterson’s extensive manufacturing and supply chain background in a multi-national company environment will complement the existing skills and business experience of our Board. We look forward to the perspectives that Marissa will provide as Ansell continues to pursue its global growth strategies.”
