Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers, Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On January 12, 2010, the Board of Directors of Inland Western Retail Real Estate, Inc. (the Company) increased the annual base salary for Steven P. Grimes, the Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Company, from $375,000 to $450,000 (which is the amount of base salary paid to Mr. Grimess predecessor as Chief Executive Officer and President). This salary increase is effective as of January 1, 2010 and recognizes Mr. Grimess increased responsibilities since being appointed Chief Executive Officer and President of the Company on October 13, 2009, in addition to maintaining his current duties as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer.
