On May 16, 2005, Vital Images, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that Michael H. Carrel has joined the Company on a permanent basis as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is hereby incorporated herein by reference.
