On September 15, 2004, Vital Images, Inc. issued a press release reporting that Jay Miller, its President and Chief Executive Officer, and Gregory Furness, its Chief Financial Officer, had entered into trading plans complying with the provisions of Rule 10b5-1 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.  A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
